An update, finally!

Well, it's been a busy week at the shop. More yarn has come in - more Blossom, more roving, more local yarns (a YUMMY Merino!), and some of the sock yarn is here, great heathered and solid colors. And if dear hubby ever fixes my photo program, I can show them to you :)

I have had a minor setback, as I tore my rotator cuff in my right shoulder, and have to wear a sling a lot of the time. Sadly this has cut into my knitting time, as it's hard to knit when you have to hold everything way off to the left to work around the sling.

But enough about that! All the Irish chocolate is on sale this month, and let's not forget the Irish yarn - a steal at only $10 for about 400 yards!

Our ship has come in!

The boat from Ireland arrived, and the Irish yarn is here! And a heck of a bargain too - about 400 yards or so for $8.50 (undyed) and $11.50 (colored) And I think I have the prices wrong, will check tomorrow while I'm at the shop again. I seriously need to get the computer up there, and this will be a heck of a lot easier to manage!

The first month of business is drawing to a close, and we couldn't be happier - everyone has been wonderful, and aside from having a set time for groups, we've been busy as could be. I think the times need work, again, if anyone has any suggestions, please speak up!

Loads of things happening - Mom found oodles of new yarns and fibers at the Maine Fiber Frolic this past weekend, and it will be at the shop on Wednesday. The Irish sweaters, scarves, shawls, and capes are in, and trust me, they are stunning and super soft to wear. And the capes are warmer than they look, I was overheating in minutes when we tried them on (pictures coming tomorrow night, I promise) And mom found Andrew (my 12 year old son) his first spinning wheel, while Nick (the 10 year old) snagged a rug-hooking kit. Hopefully they AC will be in this week so we can all work in comfort, although the shop has been cool because of the awning.

The arts festival is next month, July 9th, and yes will will be open for the day. Be sure to stop by, the artwork all up and down Main Street is sure to be an inspiration for that next knitting project!

Sock yarns - We have some, with much more on the way! We've also gotten in a whole bunch more cotton yarns, as well as some new patterns.

AND the Adopt an Irish Ewe page is uploaded and ready for you to view!
