Merino shawl...

... to end all shawls! Paula shows off her handiwork - Amazing! I wish I had thought to get a few close up shots, hopefully I can get her to bring it back into the shop sometime soon.

Update? What update?

Oh dear have I been bad about updating, sorry! And there is so much to tell you. And of course, the biggest news... well, check back in a few days for that.

We got a new yarn shipment in. $10,000 in new yarns. That sound? That's mom passing out from the shock of seeing the bill. And to make it worse, there's no room for any of it to go anywhere. We're seriously cramped at the shop, down to having boxes and bags of yarn on the floor as there are no more shelves to put any of it onto. But like I said, check back in a few days for more news on that issue!

And the online shop is up and running! Of course it still has some bugs to work out, but what a thrill! Now to just upload each of the 1200 lots of yarn. And the 1-2000 patterns. And all the Irish stuff mom brought back on her last trip.

I need an aspirin. And coffee.

Oh so much to tell you!

But I won't!

At least, not just yet. I will a bit later today when I post a gallizon pictures of what Earlene brought in (she's the amazing knitter who makes us wonderful things for the shop) and of Jackie spinning (just your hands, I promised! She's shy, folks...) and of all the yummy yarn that has come in too. Oh yah, and my new laptop should be in this afternoon, making my ability to blog increase a whole boatload.

Got fleece?

Why yes, yes we do! Here's just a few of the bags mom got in - regular wool, merino, alpaca, tencel, and even camel! No kidding, camel!

Felted Fair Isle Bag

Yesterday I posted a Mystery Photo. Well, that was the bottom of this -

Interweave's Felted Fair Isle Bag. I did mine in Lopi Lite, VERY fast and just what I needed between two cable sweater projects! It's been felted, and when it's dry and I find some handles, there will be more pictures posted. I'm fairly sure this is for mom, but I haven't decided yet. Posted by Picasa

Felted Fair Isle Bag 2

This really was a fast project, the days are noted below as to where I was at the end of the day (cast on Wednesday, and binding off Friday night.)
