A new friend of mine out here in the western Maine mountains designs easy crochet & knitting patterns. This is one of 2 we'll be featuring this month.
What a hoot! Perfect for those who hate to wear hats but also hate the wind getting into their ears. Or use on planes or trains to block out noise in a whole new way. Make in little scraps of yarn to match your coats & sweaters -- keep a pair in each coats pocket.
Also has directions for a cord to keep them together (remember that mitten string??). I made mine in cashmere and wear them on planes to block out the whiney people next to me. Oh wait, that's my husband!
